MIGC16 - 16th Malaysia International Genetics Congress

The 16th Malaysia International Genetics Congress (MIGC16) gathered leading scientists, researchers, academicians and industry professionals to share the latest advancements and insights in the field of genetics. Held under the theme “Genetics and AI: Shaping the Future of Sustainable Innovations", the congress highlighted the critical role of genetic research in addressing global challenges—from agriculture and health to biodiversity and biotechnology.

Among the highlights of MIGC16 was the recognition of Victor Lee Sien, who was awarded Best Oral Presenter for his outstanding presentation titled:

“Adaptation of Cynopterus brachyotis to Urban Forests: Insights from Morphology and Phylogenetic Analysis.”

Congratulations to Victor for this well-deserved recognition and for contributing valuable insights to the field of ecological genetics. This marks another proud achievement for FAAK Lab, following the same recognition received by Amin and Julius in 2023.
