To all of you ā Khairun, Nazihah, Fathyn and IskandarĀ ā congratulations once again! Youāve not only completed a major academic milestone, but you've also made meaningful contributions to the field of conservation biology and microbial ecology in Sarawak. We canāt wait to see where your journey takes you next.
šāØ Your hard work has truly taken flight!š§¬š¬

Khairun Nabihah
Final Year Project Title: āGut Microbiome Composition of Insectivorous Bats Across Three Localities in Sarawakā
Khairunās project explored the microbial communities in the guts of insect-eating bats across varied environments, revealing how locality may shape microbiome diversity in chiropterans.

Alya Fathyn
Final Year Project Title: āComparative Gut Microbiome Analysis of Phytophagous Bats Across Three Habitat Types in Central-Western Sarawakā
Fathyn examined how different habitats influence the gut microbiome of frugivorous bats, shedding light on how diet and environment intertwine in shaping gut microbial diversity.

Ain Najwa Nazihah
Final Year Project Title: āComparative Dietary Study of Insectivorous Bats Using DNA Metabarcoding from Two Locations in Southwestern Sarawakā
Nazihah used the Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) DNA metabarcoding techniques to uncover the dietary preferences of insectivorous bats, providing a clearer picture of their ecological roles and food web interactions.

Iskandar
Final Year Project Title: āGut Microbiome Compositions of Non-Volant Small Mammals from Two Sites in Western Sarawakā
Iskandar expanded the scope beyond bats to study the gut microbiomes of non-flying small mammals, offering important comparative data and highlighting ecological microbial patterns across species.
