Ultrasoundscape Workshop

We had participated in Ultrasoundscape Workshop, conducted at Cat Thien National Park, Vietnam from 5th May 2018 until 11th May 2018. This workshop aimed to extend soundscape monitoring network for bats in Southeast Asia. There were participants from Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan attending this workshop and we were introduced to bioacoustics study as an advanced research methodology in zoology field. With a more advanced technologies nowadays, many devices were invented for researchers to study their interest animals such as bat that produced sound. Detectors were used to detect sound, emits by the species and these devices can be used to identify their species including study about their behavior through sound. The collaboration from different countries in Southeast Asia will provide a big database collection on bat monitoring of their distribution.
