Nanopore Sequencing Workshop
Nanopore Sequencing Workshop was held in August 2019 at Matang Wildlife Center (MWC). Within 5 days of workshop, we had successfully generated billions base pair of gut microbiota from rodents and primates, sampled in MWC. The participants were amazed with the advance technology of nanopore sequencer that enable the researchers to do sampling, labworks and data analysis in less than 24 hours. The palm-sized sequencing machine allows the researchers to get big data in a very short period of time, and most importantly, everything was done in the field!
We were very lucky to have Dr Peter Larsen and team, coming from University of Minnesota USA, to demonstrate and gave us hands-on experience to handle the machine. Thank you for your great effort and support.
