Dered Krian NP sampling trip
On 19th September until 26th September 2016, our lab had join the sampling trip organized by Sarawak Forestry Department at Dered Krian National Park, Bau. This sampling trip includes various researchers from different institutions with different fields, such as mammals, herpetology, birds, insects and floras.
As usual, the lab's task is to construct the species list for small mammals in the national park's area. Both postgraduate and undergraduate students from the lab join this trip which gives us lots of learning opportunity throughout the sampling days.
Dered Krian National Park is mainly consist limestone forest, with lots of unique species such as orchids. The trip was a succesful sampling trip as we have quite a number of species list and we are able to share our findings and discuss with other researchers on those matters.
It was a really great sampling trip.
