Mulu National Park: A new experience for our Mammalian Undergraduate Research Team - Reaching Mulu S
Mulu National Park is a great place and holds lots of animal species. This place is always one of the great places for the lab members to go out and do sampling. One such trip was carried out from 27th January 2015 until 3rd February 2015. This trip was participated by both undergraduates students and postgraduate students. We were divided into two teams, which the first team set up their traps at the base camp whereas for the second team, they climbed the Mount Mulu and collect samples there. The journey to the summit of Mount Mulu took a two day walking trip. The walk from base camp to camp 1 took six hours, from camp 1 to camp 3 took 10 hours and from camp 3 to camp 4 took another 5 hours of walking. Special thanks to the lab members for giving their full commitment towards this trip, ensuring this trip was a successful one. Special thanks also to Mr huzal for his guidance, encouragement and assistance for the second team.
